Tile Installer Apprentice

About This Role

This apprentice role offers an opportunity to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in commercial tile installation within the construction industry. The individual will work alongside experienced installers, mastering the techniques, tools, and craftsmanship required for commercial tile flooring and wall systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced tile installers on commercial construction projects
• Prepare floors and walls for tile installation
• Mix mortar, grout, and other installation materials
• Measure, cut, and stage tile materials
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices
• Follow all company and job site safety requirements
• Work with team members to complete projects on schedule
• Travel to project locations throughout Indiana as needed

Important Details

• Travel: Regular travel throughout Indiana is required; occasional overnight travel may be necessary depending on project location; hotel accommodations and per diem provided when applicable

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to kneel, bend, crouch, and work on hands and knees for extended periods
• Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
• Ability to work in active construction environments and varying conditions
• Safely operate hand and power tools
