About This Role
This role involves installing tile in residential properties, focusing on high-quality installations with attention to detail and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will be reliable and skilled in preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting tile.
Responsibilities
- Install tile on floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and other designated surfaces
- Measure work areas and calculate the materials needed for each project
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and applying appropriate underlayment
- Cut and shape tile to fit around corners, fixtures, and other obstacles
- Apply mortar, grout, and other installation materials properly
- Ensure tile is level, evenly spaced, and professionally finished
- Repair, replace, or remove existing tile as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Use tools and equipment safely and properly
- Identify installation issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Complete projects within established timelines while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company procedures
Requirements
- Previous tile installation experience preferred
- Knowledge of tile installation methods, materials, and tools
- Ability to measure accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift and carry materials and work on knees for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred
