About This Role
This role is for a skilled tile installer who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of quality, efficiency, and attention to detail. The position involves installing a variety of tile materials in residential and/or commercial settings, from preparation through final installation.
Responsibilities
- Install a variety of tile materials, including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, and large-format tile
- Perform proper surface preparation, including demolition, substrate preparation, waterproofing, and layout
- Measure and plan tile layouts accurately
- Cut and install tile around walls, floors, showers, backsplashes, niches, stairs, and other detailed areas
- Install waterproofing systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Mix and apply thinset, grout, mortar, and other installation materials correctly
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Identify potential installation issues before they become costly problems
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, contractors, and customers
- Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and project specifications
Requirements
- Previous professional tile installation experience required
- Strong knowledge of tile layout, installation, and industry best practices
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic layout calculations
- Ability to use tile saws, grinders, hand tools, and other required equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently arrive at job sites on time
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be dependable, professional, and willing to take direction
Nice to have:
- Experience with showers, waterproofing systems, large-format tile, and detailed custom work is preferred
- Valid driver's license
