Job Title: Test Technician – On-site
Location: Bradenton, FL, 34202
Pay: $25 - $26/hr
Duration: Contract to Hire
Schedule: 2nd shift 03PM – 12AM (First 30-60 days will work in 1st shift – 08AM – 05PM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a contract second shift lab technician to join our team who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of smoke and carbon monoxide detection products. In this role, you will execute comprehensive validation and regression tests. You will analyze defective components, conduct unit level rework, and document all findings meticulously for review by engineering and other team members. You will also use your technical skills to support product validation within Global Lab organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document product and procedure test results in an organized manner for engineering to review.
- Test and validate early-stage life safety products to assist in developing critical life safety consumer products.
- Document test results in an organized manner within a global lab organization to track and monitor test progression.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years’ experience working as an engineering technician.
- Execute validation and regression level tests.
- Excellent self-task management/prioritization and documentation skills.
- Understands how to read and interpret schematics, installation sheets, and bill of materials.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with little to no supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- 8+ years’ experience working as a lab technician.
- Familiarity with soldering and electrical measurement equipment.
- Experience in Jira or other similar process tools.
- Must be able to work both independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to change.
