Territory Manager

About This Role

This Territory Manager role in Edmonton, AB, is for a proactive sales professional motivated to learn, grow, and succeed within the organization. The position focuses on prospecting new business and providing excellent customer service within the Edmonton district, offering significant growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new business while providing excellent customer service
• Reach out to potential customers by cold calling
• Manage a robust sales pipeline using an in-house sales tool
• Develop a strong understanding of service offerings
• Present product benefits to potential customers
• Utilize a consultative selling approach to match new and existing prospect's needs to Waste Connections services
• Aim to secure long-term partnerships
• Source new business opportunities within Edmonton and the surrounding area
• Enter gathered intelligence into the ARES system for future follow-up
• Work with operations and administrative staff in a team environment, while also being capable of working independently
• Identify and reach out to potential customers through cold calling, networking, and other means to generate sales leads
• Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly, providing solutions and ensuring a positive customer experience
• Travel to client locations, industry conferences, and other events as necessary to meet with clients and prospects

Requirements

• 2-4 years of solid business-to-business (B2B) sales experience
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Must have own vehicle for existing customers and new prospects

Nice to have:

• Experience with contract selling
• Knowledge of ARES, Salesforce, or comparable CRM tool
