Territory Manager

About This Role

This highly autonomous role involves managing an established territory while identifying new opportunities to expand the customer base and grow market share for Cooper Fluid Systems. The Territory Manager will be the face of the business in the field, working closely with customers to understand their operations, solve challenges, and provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and achieve revenue and gross margin targets across your territory
• Develop and execute territory plans to grow existing accounts and secure new business opportunities
• Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and key decision-makers
• Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across multiple industries
• Monitor tender opportunities, major projects, and quotation activity
• Provide practical technical and commercial solutions that deliver value for customers
• Manage customer enquiries, quotations, and sales activities efficiently and professionally
• Maintain accurate customer information and activity reporting through company systems
• Work closely with internal sales and operational teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes
• Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions

Requirements

• Proven success in an external sales, business development, or account management role
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to identify opportunities and deliver solutions
• Self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven approach
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work autonomously
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the designated territory
• Experience working within industrial, technical, mechanical, or building-related industries

Nice to have:

• Trade, engineering, or other technical qualifications
• Experience with fluid transfer systems, hydraulics, lubrication, fuelling, and/or fire suppression systems
• Experience selling technical products or services within an industrial environment
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Experience with budgeting, business planning, and tender submissions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
