About This Role
This role oversees the daily, monthly, and future operations of a facility, including managing hourly, supervisor, and assistant manager teams. The Terminal Manager ensures all work adheres to company procedures, standards, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Authorize onboarding and offboarding at the terminal
- Authorize and execute wage increases for employees at the terminal
- Communicate and submit payroll in a timely fashion
- Outline topics and documentation for safety meetings with the HSE Department
- Enforce all safety expectations and policies
- Review and communicate any changes to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Execute contractor orientations
- Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents
- Conduct coaching of employees and conflict resolution
- Manage bulk loading and unloading facility operations
- Hold one-to-one customer interactions outlining production and conveying any delays
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager
Requirements
- College degree preferred
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Rail experience preferred
- Hazmat experience preferred
- Available on weekends as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- LACT unit/Scada operations experience preferred
- Experience transferring fluids to storage tanks preferred
