About the role

Role Summary The registered nurse (RN) collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on diagnosing and treating responses to health problems. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, coordinating care activities, administering medications, and documenting care accurately. The RN also participates in quality assurance activities and emergency situations, ensuring protocols and policies are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in the emergency department or completion of a related internship program.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license.
  • Certifications required within specified timeframes: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, NIH Stroke Scale, Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and emergency procedures.

Preferred Attributes

  • Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • Certifications such as CEN and TNCC, with the ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional standards adherence.
