Temporary Research Assistant

About This Role

The Temporary Research Assistant will support the Department of Medicine - Infectious Disease at Rutgers, focusing on data management and programming tasks. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, as they will work closely with data managers and research coordinators to ensure the quality of collected data.

Responsibilities

• Perform data management tasks using SAS programming language for quality assurance of collected data.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards on Tableau under supervision.
• Develop SAS scripts for quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to create ad hoc databases for analysis.
• Assist in the design and setup of case report forms (CRFs) for clinical protocols.
• Develop standard operating procedures and training manuals for study conduct and data collection.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of High School/Undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies.
• Proficiency with SAS/R programming language and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of biostatistics and epidemiology.
• Experience with data management in clinical research and relevant software platforms.

Important Details

• Position Status: Part Time
• Working Hours: 19.9 hours per week
• Standard Hours: 35.00 hours per week
• Work Arrangement: Fully on-site with potential for flexible work arrangements.
