General Statement of Duties Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, the Instructional Assistant provides essential support with the implementation of the instructional program.
Essential Duties
- Provides one on one instruction or tutoring with students
- Provides behavioral support to students
- Assists with classroom management and behavior modification
- Assists with field trips, community-based instruction, and other activities
- Assists students with personal care tasks,
- Assists with creation, organization, and distribution of instructional materials
- Reports student concerns directly and promptly to the teacher and assists with student resolution
- Assists with breakfast, lunch and snack, including clean-up
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Regular attendance is required
Additional Information: This position is a temporary position working no more than 29 hours per week. Schedules are assigned by the building principal.

Minimum Requirements Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Sixty semester hours of college credit or passing scores on the ParaPro Assessment preferred.
