About This Role
The Teller provides friendly, service-driven support to members, handling everyday financial needs and connecting them with products and services that support their goals. This role is an important part of the team, focusing on building relationships and creating a positive experience for every member.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, personalized face-to-face service to members
- Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, and other routine transactions
- Balance your drawer and maintain accurate transaction records
- Identify opportunities to introduce members to products and services that support their financial goals
- Build lasting relationships with members and team members through trust, communication, and excellent service
- Follow established procedures and applicable policies to protect member information and maintain transaction accuracy
- Recognize and refer member questions or needs to the appropriate team member when additional assistance is needed
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative branch environment and help make banking a great experience
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service, listening, and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a Windows environment
- A friendly, approachable attitude and a genuine interest in helping people
- Ability to identify member needs and confidently discuss relevant products and services
Nice to have:
- Previous banking or cash-handling experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
