Telehealth Nurse Practitioner (Contractor)

About This Role

This contract role offers a Nurse Practitioner the chance to practice at an advanced nursing level within a mature, governance-led telehealth platform. You will deliver evidence-based care through structured programs designed to improve access, reduce barriers, and meet patients where they are. The position suits an experienced professional focused on clinical quality without the administrative burden of traditional settings, supported by established protocols and a collaborative virtual care team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video and phone consultations with new and existing patients
• Provide clinical assessment, education, and treatment recommendations within scope
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Review patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
• Triage complex cases to medical practitioners or pharmacists where required
• Collaborate with doctors, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and internal teams
• Contribute feedback to improve systems, protocols, and overall patient experience

Requirements

• Master of Nursing qualification
• Current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA (unrestricted)
• Current PBS prescriber number (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Recent experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in primary healthcare
• Confidence working autonomously within a telehealth or digital health environment
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication style
• Alignment with evidence-based, ethical care delivery
