Telehealth ICU Registered Nurse - Nights

About This Role

This night-shift position involves providing direct patient care through telehealth monitoring across the BJC System. The role is based at BJC @ The Commons and is suitable for an experienced critical care nurse who can work at the top of their license and contribute to professional development and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment
• Educate patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Participate in professional development
• Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care
• Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care
• Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Nursing
• No experience required for entry-level
• No supervisor experience required
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner (safety-sensitive position)

Preferred Requirements:

• 3 years of critical care experience
• MO and IL RN Licensure
• BSN
