About This Role
This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunication systems and network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity for clients and internal teams. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunication systems including telephony, Ethernet networks, and Cisco routers to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of low voltage wiring, cable management, and network hardware to prevent disruptions
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, repair, and upgrade communication equipment and infrastructure components
- Diagnose electrical issues related to telecommunication systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
- Assist in the setup of computer networking systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to support secure data transmission
- Collaborate with team members to plan network layouts and implement system upgrades or expansions efficiently
- Document all installation procedures, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps accurately for future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience working with Ethernet cabling, computer networking concepts, and telecommunication systems
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for installation and repair tasks
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring standards and electrical safety practices
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and basic networking protocols such as TCP/IP
- Experience with telephony systems including VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology
- Strong electrical background with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues related to communication hardware
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
