Position Title:
Technology Warehouse Driver
Job Description:
Deliver equipment and supplies purchased by campuses. Pick-up and deliver equipment to be repaired within the District.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick-up and deliver equipment for repairs.
- Fill warehouse order for deliveries.
- Check incoming freight.
- Schedule and conduct vehicle maintenance and inspection as directed.
- Operate warehouse equipment.
- File paperwork as needed.
- Route and load warehouse deliveries.
- Help maintain accurate inventory and records.
- Drive delivery truck.
- Assist with repairs on computer/AV equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Warehouse or related work
- Safe driving record
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clear and valid Texas driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to operate all warehouse equipment
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Regular district travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. The following physical requirement and or capabilities are what an employee needs to possess in order to meet the physical demands of the job:
- Walking (move about on foot)
- Inside and outside work
- Work around machinery with moving parts
- Work around moving objects and vehicles
- Exposure to dampness and slippery or uneven walking surfaces
- Carrying (transporting an object by hand)
- Crouching (bending the body downward and forward by bending the knees and spine)
- Climbing (ascending and descending stairs)
- Lifting (able to lift 50 - 60 lbs.)
- Kneeling (bending legs at the knees to come to rest on the knees)
- Pulling (able to exert force upon an object so the object moves toward the force)
- Pushing (exerting force upon an object so the object moves away from the force)
- Bending (ability to move at the waist downward and upward with reasonable mobility)
An employee may be required to perform any or all of the above physical requirements. These physical requirements may constitute 95% of the employee’s daily functions.
