About This Role

This full-time and PRN role involves performing computerized tomographic procedures with technical precision to provide radiologists with high-quality data for accurate disease and injury detection. The technologist prioritizes patient comfort and safety through expert positioning and precise selection of technical parameters, and manages the clinical administration of contrast media while adhering to safety regulations. Patient well-being is advocated through monitoring responses during procedures and maintaining rigorous standards for radiation safety and protocol updates.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomographic procedures with technical precision
• Provide radiologists with high-quality data for accurate detection of disease and injury
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety through expert positioning
• Precisely select technical parameters tailored to each unique individual
• Manage clinical administration of contrast media within professional scope
• Ensure all state and federal safety regulations are strictly met
• Advocate for patient well-being by monitoring responses during procedures
• Maintain a rigorous standard for radiation safety and protocol updates

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

One or more of the following:

• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
