Title: Technician of Resource Transfers and WASH
Location: Santa Cruz, covering Chicamán, Quiché
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Participate in community entry activities, municipal and regional meetings of the technical team, studies, surveys, and project evaluations.
- Provide support and assist in the process of preparing funding requests, delivering resource transfers for food assistance to beneficiary families and project volunteers, preparing and delivering electronic and/or printed forms and supporting documents for the delivery of resource transfers, training, equipment, materials, and/or supplies to project beneficiaries.
- Ensure the correct use of the monitoring system for project activities and provide technical support in the field when required, including registrations of new participants, suspensions, and cancellations.
- Responsible for the compliance of each scheduled activity through adequate follow-up and monitoring, fulfilling weekly and monthly planning.
- Coordinate with community and municipal authorities, community leaders, local financial entities on project actions, as well as maintain constant communication with community-level volunteer staff.
- Train volunteer staff and beneficiary families on resource transfers for food assistance, water, and community sanitation.
- Comply with administrative requirements related to the management of participant information and supporting documents. Also, comply with the forms requested by both administration and human resources following instructions from the immediate supervisor.
- Prepare biweekly and monthly activity reports, according to the schedule established by the immediate supervisor.
- Integrate, plan, and implement activities under the principles of safe programming, ensuring compliance with the safeguarding framework that encompasses Child Safeguarding policies, Protection against Abuse and Sexual Exploitation, and the Global Anti-Harassment Policy; from their position and role, conducting an adequate risk assessment and mitigation and working in collaboration with other team members.
- Report through the various reporting channels any safeguarding concerns and incidents within the first 24 hours, assuming confidentiality and responsibility for the information.
Requirements
- Graduated from diversified level (areas of health, education, nursing, agronomy, computer technician, or similar)
- Preferably with technical university studies in the areas of: Social Sciences or Health, Nutrition, Education, Systems Engineering, or Agronomy or another related career.
- Preferably speaks Kiché and/or Ixil, depending on the intervention area to be covered.
- Essential to have motorcycle handling skills and possess a valid license.
Experience and Qualities
- Experience in community work with multidisciplinary teams in development projects with a focus on Nutritional Food Security.
- Experience in implementing activities related to Monetary Transfers.
- Basic knowledge of adult education methodologies using participatory methods.
- Proficiency in MS-Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
