Technician L
An Electrical Technician performs a range of electrical tasks, including wiring, programming, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance using the DDS approach and root cause analyses.
Main accountabilities and responsibilities (including I Care)
- An Employee with uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment.
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Constructing and fabricating parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Supervising contracted electricians.
- Ordering electrical supplies and equipment.
- Works to standards and assures the teams works to it and secure availability of standard technical documentation.
Experience and qualification requirements
- A n electrical, technical, or related degree.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship
