Job Description We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our Visa Secure Global Product Team on a 3-month contract basis. This hybrid role, based in Foster City, CA, is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that supports both internal stakeholders and external clients. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to accurately document product features, technical requirements, and integration processes.

Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with established style and quality standards.

Manage the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, including content intake, review cycles, approvals, publication, and maintenance.

Prioritize and track documentation requests through JIRA and coordinate review meetings with global product teams.

Maintain documentation inventories, version control, publication schedules, and status reports.

Build and manage capacity planning workbooks to track deliverables, deadlines, and service-level agreements.

Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other generative AI technologies for content drafting, editing, quality reviews, and process improvement.

Drive accountability among stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of content and documentation updates.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Technical Writing.
- Experience creating client-facing technical documentation for software, technology, or enterprise products.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content organization skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar documentation and project management tools.
- Experience using AI tools for content creation, editing, or workflow automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the payments, fintech, banking, or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of AI prompt engineering and content optimization techniques.
- Experience creating developer documentation, API documentation, or implementation guides.
- Creative writing experience for product overviews, feature descriptions, and customer-facing communications.

They are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and leveraging AI-driven tools to improve documentation quality and efficiency.
