Technical Writer

About This Role

This contract role is for a seasoned Technical Writer to support a public sector client in Canada. The role involves producing and reviewing technical documents, creating online help files, and developing training packages, with a focus on IT infrastructure terminology.

Responsibilities

• Create online help files or systems, training packages

Requirements

• University undergraduate degree or diploma or ten years of progressive experience in IT
• A minimum of ten years' experience understanding of IT infrastructure terminology as it is used in documentation, specifically with those used with networking (LAN/WAN), servers and telephony systems
• A minimum of ten years' experience and advanced skills in producing Word, Excel and Visio Pro documents (e.g., MS Office Suite, Adobe, Sharepoint, etc.)
• A minimum of ten years' experience, knowledge and understanding of software development practices and lifecycle
• A minimum of ten years' experience knowledge with ITSG33 or equivalent documented standards
• Secret or Top-Secret Clearance required
