About This Role
This technical writing role involves creating and maintaining user-friendly manuals for construction equipment, ensuring all technical information is accurately documented and aligned with product standards. The role requires collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams to produce high-quality technical publications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update Parts Manuals, Operation Manuals, and Workshop/Service Manuals for construction equipment
- Prepare technical illustrations, diagrams, and documentation using CATIA, IsoDraw, and Adobe Illustrator
- Create, edit, format, and publish technical documents in PDF and XML-based formats
- Work with engineering and cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and incorporate technical information
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of technical documentation
- Use Oxygen XML Editor for creating and editing structured technical content
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, language, formatting, and usability
- Maintain revisions and incorporate engineering/product changes into existing manuals
- Ensure documentation complies with applicable internal standards and documentation guidelines
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with CATIA
- Hands-on experience with IsoDraw
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Hands-on experience with Adobe PDF Editor
- Hands-on experience with Oxygen XML Editor
- Hands-on experience with MS Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience in developing Parts Manuals, Operation Manuals, and Workshop/Service Manuals is mandatory
- Experience in Technical Publications / Documentation, preferably in Automotive, Construction Equipment, Heavy Machinery, or Off-Highway industries
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical illustrations, and product documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical information
- Good written, verbal, and spoken English communication skills
