About the role
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team in the West Region. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $3,800 to $5,500 per month with a 5-day work week. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of marine and industrial equipment whilst leveraging your technical expertise to provide solutions-focused support to clients. You will be the bridge between our technical capabilities and our clients' operational needs, playing a crucial role in building and maintaining strong business relationships within the marine and industrial sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and business retention.
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities within the Marine and Industrial sectors.
- Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand their requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Promote marine ropes, water filtration equipment and related industrial products
- Prepare quotations, sales proposals and product information based on customer requirements.
- Follow up on sales enquiries, quotations and business opportunities to achieve successful sales conversion.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, product specifications and other commercial terms with customers.
- Provide professional product advice and suitable solutions to address customers’ needs.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, industry events and customer meetings.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of customer orders and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales activities and sales pipeline.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on business development activities.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall business growth.
What we're looking for
- Minimum Diploma in any field.
- At least 2–3 years of sales experience in any industry, or 1–2 years of sales experience in the Marine industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to build good relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Good sales and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and willing to learn.
