Position Summary

Fives Stein is actively seeking a Senior Service Engineer / Technical Representative to join its team in Istanbul (Turkey)

It is with you that industry can do it! We are currently seeking a Senior Service Engineer / Technical Representative (Turkey) to support and service local steel manufacturers.

Your Mission: The Senior Service Engineer / Technical Representative will be the permanent Fives Stein representative in Turkey, acting as the local technical reference for service activities and supporting the Service organization in France.

This is a technical–commercial role , combining field support/service, customer interaction, and contribution to service business development.

Key Responsibilities Technical Service & Field Operations

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, audits and diagnostics on reheating furnaces, processing line furnaces, and related systems (mechanical, combustion, electrical, automation).
• Conduct site audits, write technical reports, and provide recommendations to customers.
• Support commissioning, start-up and supervision activities in Turkey and abroad.
• Evaluate equipment condition and identify service opportunities.

Offer Preparation & Commercial Support

• Prepare technical and commercial offers for service and revamping projects in close collaboration with the Service team based in France.
• Present and explain offers to customers in Turkey.
• Support and contribute to commercial negotiations.

Client Relationship & Market Development

• Act as the primary point of contact for Turkish customers for service-related needs.
• Identify and develop new service opportunities (audits, spare parts, upgrades).
• Leverage existing relationships within Turkish steelmakers.
• Represent Fives Stein during customer visits, audits, and meetings.

International Assignments

• Support Fives Stein projects abroad when required (Europe, Middle East, Asia).
• Travel for missions typically lasting 1 to 3 weeks, depending on workload.

Education & Technical Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Strong practical experience with:

• Industrial furnaces for the steel industry (reheating, annealing)

• Steelmaking or hot rolling processes

• Experience in maintenance, field service, commissioning or operation within a steel plant.

Soft Skills

• Autonomy and ability to work independently in the field.
• Strong communication and customer‑orientation.
• Ability to learn commercial and proposal‑building activities.
• Comfortable making technical and commercial decisions.
• Flexibility of mindset: technical + commercial + field work.
• Willingness to travel regularly and operate in industrial environments.

Languages

• English and Turkish are required due to daily interactions with local teams and clients.
