About the role

Duties

The selectee will serve as a Technical Program Manager in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Typical work assignments include:

  • Serving as the primary advisor to high-level executives in establishing guidelines/procedures and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls for all financial and budgetary matters.
  • Providing guidance to all the Office of the Chief Financial Officer support staff within and across CFO divisions; continuing the review of Key Performance Parameter measurements and ensuring program project and integration compliance are met across the division.
  • Reviewing and analyzing requirements validation /verification procedures are in place for technical security and information technology development projects.
  • Providing input regarding a division’s quality assurance programs and projects ensuring consistency and adequacy of program management and budget execution.
  • Providing program advice and assistance to executive leadership ensuring quality service and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 level (starting salary $131,767) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level performing duties such as overseeing funding and acquisition policies and strategies by planning, directing, monitoring organizing/controlling financial resources to include formulation of budget requirements, program financial analysis/evaluation, execution, accounting and reporting, financial systems, as well as demand forecasting/revenue management.

Selective Placement Factor: In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following requirement(s) to be considered qualified for the position: Applicant must possess a DoD Financial Management Level I or a DHS Program Financial Management Level I Certificate. Applicants must submit a copy of their certificates for either the Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Level I OR the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Program Financial Management Level I Certificate in order to be considered.
