Technical Product Manager – Retail FinTech Platforms
New York, NY | Contract-to-hire | Onsite 4 days/week
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Product Manager to provide strategic product oversight across large-scale retail financial technology initiatives. This role will operate horizontally across multiple product teams, partnering with engineering, architecture, vendors, and senior leadership to drive strategy, delivery, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide product leadership across multiple teams and strategic initiatives.
- Align product strategy, business objectives, and technical execution.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams on application design, scalability, and implementation.
- Oversee vendor-delivered solutions to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment.
- Support roadmaps, prioritization, Agile ceremonies, and product delivery across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear executive-level messaging, roadmaps, and presentations.
- Provide product governance and oversight within highly regulated environments.
- Balance customer experience, innovation, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in complex technology environments.
- Experience with large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile and waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Proven ability to partner with engineering, architecture, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Retail fintech, brokerage, trading, or wealth management platforms.
- Consumer-facing mobile and web applications.
- High-volume transactional or data-intensive systems.
- Technical architecture, product governance, and vendor management.
- Experience with SEC, FINRA, FinCEN, or other financial services regulations.

You should be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, partnering with engineering teams, overseeing complex initiatives, and navigating regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.
