About the role
Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Expert – Printing Industry to support our inspection, testing, and certification services across the printing sector. This role requires deep technical expertise in printing operations and a strong understanding of relevant quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on printing industry processes and best practices
- Support audit and certification activities for printing companies
- Assess compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct technical evaluations of pre-press, printing, binding, and finishing operations
- Collaborate with clients to identify process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on industry standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and clients
Required Qualifications Professional Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of working experience in printing companies (operational, technical, or quality roles)
- Demonstrated expertise in printing industry processes and operations
Technical Knowledge
In-depth Knowledge Of Core Printing Industry Processes, Including
- Newspaper Printing – offset, digital, or flexographic printing techniques
- Commercial/General Printing – color management, substrate handling, finishing
- Pre-press & Pre-media Services – file preparation, color separation, plate making, digital workflows
- Binding & Related Services – collating, stitching, perfect binding, case binding, finishing operations
Standards & Compliance Expertise
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems)
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)
- Ability to assess compliance and identify gaps in printing operations
