About the role
Role: Technical Engineer in the Army National Guard, responsible for planning, developing, and supporting construction projects such as airstrips, docks, barracks, and roads.
Responsibilities Include
- Developing construction plans and specifications
- Conducting land surveys, technical investigations, and drafting
- Creating topographic maps, charts, and scale models
- Performing material testing and preparing wiring and plumbing diagrams
- Utilizing Computer Aided Drafting systems and GPS technology for surveying
- Providing technical support for construction projects
Skills And Qualifications
- Ability to produce detailed drawings and maps
- Interest in maps, charts, and technical drawing software
- Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Interest in aerial photo interpretation and structural drawing
- High school diploma or GED, age 17-35, physically fit, and meeting citizenship standards
