Job Summary:
As the Coordinator, you will plan, coordinate, time keep and oversee technical operations in Cytology. You will lead the team and serve as the on-site resource person for pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic processes as needed.
You will ensure specimens received in the lab are properly handled as to identification, numbering and preparation as smears or cell blocks. You will make initial diagnoses on all cytopathology consultations and make final diagnoses on all negative gynecological material.
You will act as a liaison and foster effective communication between laboratory and health care teams.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university OR alternate experience route for cytotechnologist as detailed in 42 CFR subpart M §493.1483
- 3 years of full-time (2,080 hours per year) experience of diagnostic screening in a high-volume setting
- CT(ASCP)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to screen 100 slide equivalents per day
