About the role
What You Will Work On
You will lead daily Hardlines operations by coaching and supporting team members across fitness, team sports, and outdoor recreation. Through hands-on floor leadership, you set clear expectations around customer engagement, product knowledge, and safe execution while keeping the department organized and inviting. Your presence helps translate Academy priorities into a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
You will partner closely with store leadership to plan workloads, execute merchandising and recovery standards, and maintain inventory accuracy. A critical part of your role includes ensuring firearm transactions are handled in strict compliance with all federal, state, and company requirements. When opportunities arise, you will support special projects and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen performance and store results.
Who You Will Work With
You will work alongside Sales Team Members and Enthusiasts within Hardlines, serving as a visible leader who supports development, engagement, and accountability. By working side-by-side on the sales floor, you model strong service behaviors and create confidence for both customers and teammates.
