Position Title:
Teaching Assistant (Full Year - Long Term Substitute)

Anticipated Work Location/Hours:
Kaegebein Elementary, 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM
Salary:
$29,471 per GITA contract
Duties:
Teaching Assistants provide small and large group instruction, remediation, and support.
Teaching Assistants provide input into the planning process, maintenance of student records, and student progress.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS certification: Teaching Assistant or Childhood Education 1-6 and/or SWD 1-6

Ability to use Instructional Technology to improve student performance and address professional responsibilities.

Collaborate with colleagues 4. Ability to be flexible and organized
Qualifications Desired:
-
Literacy and/or Special Education certifications preferred
-
Ability to cooperate and collaborate with grade level team, special area teachers and parents
-
Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level
-
Strong written and oral communication skills
-
Strong work ethic; ability to differentiate instruction to support all learners

Experience with iReady math, UFLI, Magnetic Reading and differentiation

Ability to use data driven instruction to improve student achievement
-
Experience working with students with disabilities
