Sylvan Learning - Multiple Subjects Instructor (Part-time)

We are currently looking for Reading / Writing ESL and Math teachers. As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in very small groups as each student has a unique learning plan. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading/Math and SAT/ACT prep. Evening and weekend hours available. If you aspire to inspire, then we want you on our team.
As a successful teacher you will:
- Teach using Sylvan based programs
- Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials
- Reward students for completed assignments
- Evaluate and document student progress
- Communicate student needs to the Center Director and Director of Education
- Inspire Students
- Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring - Middle and Upper School level
- 2 years teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree, preferred
- Teaching Certification, preferred
- Background working with students from Pre-K to 12th grade
COMPENSATION:
We generally pay $16.00 per hour depending on experience, location, and a few other factors. If you're interested in this position, we encourage you to apply.
Center Hours:
Monday thru Thursday: 3:30pm - 7:30pm
Saturdays: 9:30am - 2:30pm
