About This Role

This full-time, ongoing role is for an energetic, curious, and future-focused Middle School and SACE Science Teacher, with a specific background in Chemistry, to join a vibrant Science faculty commencing Term 1, 2027. You will inspire students in Years 7–12 by delivering engaging, challenging, and conceptually rich Science learning experiences within a collaborative, innovative, and well-resourced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that engage students and foster scientific thinking
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing
• Assess and report on student progress in line with school policies
• Contribute to faculty planning, assessment design, and resource sharing
• Participate in pastoral care and co-curricular activities as appropriate

Requirements

• Genuine passion for teaching Science in Middle and Senior years
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect positively with young people
• Engaging, innovative, and reflective teaching style that supports diverse learners
• Confidence using data and assessment to inform teaching practice
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to faculty planning and shared initiatives
• Readiness to participate in co-curricular activities and broader school life
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and teacher registration (or eligibility) in South Australia
