Tax Preparer

About This Role

This role combines accounting expertise with front-office responsibilities, focusing on accurate and efficient tax preparation while delivering exceptional client service. You will be the first point of contact for clients, guiding them through their tax needs and providing professional support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and small business tax returns using accounting software such as Drake, QuickBooks, and Excel
• Greet clients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and handle incoming calls with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Collect and verify client documentation, ensuring completeness for accurate tax preparation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client refunds
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally, fostering long-term relationships

Requirements

• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, or related financial roles with strong tax knowledge
• Solid understanding of financial concepts, bookkeeping, and accounting practices
• Strong analysis skills combined with math proficiency and attention to detail for accurate data handling
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
• Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry and processing
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
