Tax Preparer

About This Role

Preparing individual tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws is the core of this role, which also involves providing exceptional client service. This position offers an opportunity to assist clients with their tax needs while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely individual tax returns in accordance with current tax laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary tax documents and information
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and explaining tax-related matters clearly
• Utilize tax preparation software to organize, calculate, and file tax documents efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations during the preparation process
• Assist in client acquisition efforts by promoting our services and building strong client relationships
• Stay informed about changes in tax law that may impact client filings and advise accordingly

Requirements

• Prior experience in tax return preparation or a related role is preferred
• Strong understanding of individual tax concepts, documents, and applicable tax laws
• Proficiency with tax preparation software is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and consultation
• Customer service-oriented mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
• Knowledge of current tax compliance requirements is essential
