This role involves working on-site at a TurboTax location as part of a collaborative team of financial experts, serving in-person and virtual customers who use Intuit TurboTax products. The primary focus is full-service tax return preparation, providing expert tax advice, calculations, and software support. You will also act as the connective tissue between customers and a broader team of specialists covering business tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, and advisory services, building a shared understanding of each customer's complete financial picture.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments)
Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice
Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language
Embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax
Identify and pursue prospects through targeted outreach, grass-roots marketing initiatives, referral networks, and community partnerships
Serve as the local face of TurboTax, converting new prospects into loyal, long-term clients
Organize and lead local events such as financial literacy workshops, community pop-ups, and networking gatherings with the support of TurboTax marketing tools and resources
Act as a trusted guide for every client by developing a deep understanding of their complete financial picture and connecting them with the Intuit solutions best positioned to move them forward
Identify opportunities to introduce clients to complementary services such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma
Connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to their financial concerns, and build long-term trust
Create an exceptional customer experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve their financial goals
Interact with customers both in-person and through Intuit’s state-of-the-art video communication tools
Address client inquiries while helping them overcome tax-related challenges
Requirements
Possess active, unrestricted credentials: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws
Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes
Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software

Schedule: primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week; operating hours are subject to change and will likely scale up during periods of peak customer demand, such as tax season
