About This Role

Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns is the core of this tax professional role, along with advising clients on tax strategy and collaborating with a talented team. The position suits someone with a passion for solving complex problems and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual, business, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Meet directly with clients to provide proactive tax planning, answer questions, and develop practical solutions to complex tax issues.
• Research federal and state tax laws, interpret new legislation, and apply tax strategies that maximize client outcomes while ensuring compliance.
• Review financial statements, reconcile general ledger accounts, and collaborate with bookkeeping staff to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Mentor and support junior tax staff by reviewing work, providing technical guidance, and helping foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting experience
• CPA or Master's in Taxation is a plus
• Experience with bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and general ledger accounting
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and CCH Wolter Kluwers
