Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager

About This Role

This remote-first opportunity is for an experienced Canadian tax professional to join a growing CPA firm's expanding tax practice. The role focuses on complex private company tax planning and advisory work, with occasional travel to the firm's Sudbury office.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the firm's tax leadership and clients on corporate reorganizations and restructuring
• Handle estate and succession planning
• Manage trust and shareholder planning
• Advise on M&A and transaction-related tax matters
• Conduct tax planning for owner-managed and privately held businesses
• Review complex tax work prepared by other team members

Requirements

• CPA designation
• Several years of Canadian tax planning experience
• Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent advanced tax training
• Strong experience advising private companies and owner-managed businesses
• Experience with corporate reorganizations, estate planning and related tax matters
• Strong technical judgment and communication skills
• Public accounting experience preferred
