About This Role
This Tax Manager role is a key part of the business tax team, focusing on helping individuals and businesses resolve complex tax issues. The position involves maintaining strong client relationships and delivering successful outcomes, suiting a professional with expertise in tax resolution.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities
- Assist with tax notices, audits, appeals, collections, and payment arrangements
- Prepare and review delinquent and amended tax returns
- Evaluate client situations and recommend appropriate resolution strategies
- Build new and strengthen existing client relationships while demonstrating empathy and technical expertise
- Communicate and meet with clients as requested; provide recommendations to assist clients with resolving tax matters
Requirements
- 5+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience
- Experience in tax resolution matters
- CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain

Important Details
- Work arrangements: onsite, hybrid, or remote
- Schedule: up to 50-60 hours per week during tax season, 30-40 hours per week for the remainder of the year, flexing the typical Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule
