Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager

About This Role

This hybrid role, based in Kent, WA, is for a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager, with responsibilities tailored to the candidate's experience and leadership strengths. The position involves managing client engagements, providing tax guidance, and contributing to team development.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax engagements for a diverse client base
• Review partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns
• Develop tax planning strategies that align with clients’ goals
• Research complex tax issues and communicate practical recommendations
• Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
• Coordinate engagement timelines, workloads, and deliverables
• Coach and mentor staff to support their technical and professional growth
• Collaborate with firm leadership on client service and practice improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and use technology effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification
• Progressive public accounting tax experience appropriate for a Manager or Senior Manager role
• Strong technical skills in tax preparation, review, and planning
• Experience managing engagements and supporting staff development
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to commute to Kent, WA
