Tax Manager - Restaurant, Franchise & Hospitality

About This Role

Leading a skilled team of tax professionals within the firm's dynamic Restaurant, Franchise & Hospitality (RFH) practice is the core of this role. You will act as a trusted advisor to restaurant owners, franchisors, franchisees, and hospitality groups, helping clients navigate complex tax challenges, reduce tax exposure, and plan for long-term growth. This position offers an opportunity to do meaningful, high-impact work at the intersection of industry specialization and strategic advisory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, delegating responsibilities, overseeing work quality, and supporting career growth
• Develop and implement tax strategies for restaurant, franchise, and hospitality clients by staying current with evolving tax laws, regulations, and planning opportunities
• Provide consulting services on complex tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity restructuring, tax planning, and industry-specific credits and incentives
• Conduct ongoing tax research to identify planning opportunities and ensure alignment with current federal and regulatory requirements
• Review and prepare tax returns across Partnership, S-Corp, Individual, and Corporate entity types, ensuring accuracy and full compliance
• Build and manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact with clients, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
• Train and mentor team members to strengthen technical capabilities and support their professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in a public accounting firm
• Experience preparing and reviewing Partnership, S-Corp, Individual, and Corporate tax returns
