Tax Manager - International Tax

About This Role

The International Tax Manager serves clients on a variety of international tax planning and compliance matters, ensuring that individual and business tax returns are completed accurately and on time. This role involves coaching staff, gathering tax-related information, and analyzing tax situations to maximize benefits, as well as networking to attract new clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients on a variety of international tax planning and compliance matters
• Work with staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline
• Coach or mentor a staff member to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career
• Gather relevant tax-related information from the client so an accurate tax return can be prepared
• Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied
• Network, build relationships and attract new clients or business for the Firm
• Bill clients for the services and guidance provided

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification
• 5+ years of tax experience
• 2+ years of experience focused on international tax
• Familiarity with Form 5471 and Net Tested Income
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
• Actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment
• Able to focus on complex tasks and quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship
