Grant Thornton Malaysia Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate and individual tax computations and returns to ensure timely submission to the tax authorities.
- Review tax computations and identify potential tax issues based on relevant tax laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Assist and advise clients on their tax compliance obligations.
- Provide guidance and supervise staff on tax compliance and administration matters.
- Support advisory and consultancy tasks, including handling appeals to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
- Research, analyse, and interpret updates in tax laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Meet with clients and organise necessary information.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline and/or a professional qualification preferable in the areas of Finance, Accountancy/ Taxation (eg. ACCA/MICPA/CPA Aus/ICAEW/CTIM graduate)
- Membership in a recognised professional accounting or taxation body is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience for Senior Associate role and 5 years for Manager role.
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, well-organized, able to handle multiple tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity and the ability to work autonomously.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Friendly and positive attitude with a pleasant personality.
