Tax Analyst

About This Role

This role involves delivering high-quality financial information, providing performance insights, and enabling informed decision-making for ExxonMobil's global businesses. The Tax Analyst will focus on tax compliance and support, translating financial data into business insights, and managing multiple priorities and deadlines. The position suits professionals with a background in accounting, financial analysis, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely preparation and filing of corporate income tax, transfer pricing, VAT/GST returns, and other statutory filings
• Support annual transfer pricing documentation compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of all tax obligations, including VAT/GST and advance tax
• Prepare tax computations for VAT/GST refunds and applicable incentives
• Manage VAT/GST registrations, including new applications and updates
• Liaise with tax authorities and support responses to queries and notices
• Monitor changes in direct and indirect tax regulations and assist with system and process updates
• Support tax accounting, reconciliations, and audit requirements
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on filings, assessments, and refunds
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other business-related fields
• Fluent in English: TOEIC 800+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+
• Solid analytical skills with a strong foundation in financial and accounting principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated strong academic performance

Nice to have:

• 3+ years of experience in international tax compliance, tax audit, or tax advisory
• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Group Reporting, BlackLine, Workiva) or data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
