Tax Accountant

About This Role

This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses, researching tax issues, and supporting clients through the filing season. It suits a tax professional with experience in public accounting or corporate tax, looking to join a Dallas-area accounting firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, or C corporation returns, depending on your experience
• Research tax issues and prepare tax provision and estimated payment calculations
• Support clients through the filing season and respond to notices
• Review work from junior staff (senior level)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s in tax a plus
• 2 to 6 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate tax
• CPA or EA license, or progress toward one, preferred
• Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Lacerte, UltraTax, or GoSystem
• Strong Excel skills
