About This Role
This role focuses on building high-quality talent pipelines for Forward Deployed Engineers, who are customer-facing software engineers combining technical depth, business judgment, and adaptability. The Talent Sourcer will partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand needs, align on candidate profiles, and develop sourcing strategies as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Identify engineers with the technical ability, customer focus, and judgment to succeed as Forward Deployed Engineers
- Develop creative sourcing strategies across companies, communities, networks, and other channels
- Apply a data-driven approach to every aspect of the role: tracking response rates, conversion rates, and pipeline quality to understand what works and adjusting your approach based on the data
- Write thoughtful, personalized outreach that gives candidates a clear reason to engage with Deploy Co
- Conduct initial candidate conversations to understand their experience, interests, and fit for the role
- Build and nurture talent pools for current and future hiring needs
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to refine searches using candidate feedback and interview outcomes
- Test sourcing tools and techniques, and turn successful approaches into practices the team can repeat
Requirements
- 2+ years of sourcing, recruiting, SDR, or comparable experience, ideally in a fast-growing environment
- Built strong engineering pipelines in competitive markets, including candidates who were not actively looking
- Understand technical roles and can have credible, curious conversations with engineers about their work
- Recognize relevant skills and potential across different backgrounds, titles, and technology stacks
- Write clear, compelling outreach and build trust through thoughtful candidate interactions
- Use data and feedback to improve your approach and prioritize your time
- Take initiative, move quickly, and stay effective as hiring needs evolve
- Enjoy researching unfamiliar talent markets and trying new ways to reach people
- Experience sourcing for forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or other customer-facing technical roles
