Job Description IT Cloud Engineer Remote United States Annual Compensation: $90,000-$105,000 DOE IT Cloud Engineer Job Summary Under general direction responsible for cloud and M365 engineering, administration and reporting. This individual will provide technical skills in implementing and operationalizing GMR’s Azure (hybrid) cloud and M365 environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, Cloud FinOps reporting and M365 management/reporting. You will work closely with our Cloud Architect and M365 Lead to coordinate with DevOps and Security teams on scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure that meets our business needs.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Assist in the creation, deployment and maintenance of cloud solutions.
- Monitor cloud solutions for performance and proper resource provisioning.
- Create and maintain reports for FinOps, Licensing, utilization, etc.. for Azure and M365 tenant.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud related and hybrid environment issues.
- Coordinate with Devops, Security, GRC and other teams on vulnerability mitigation.
- Implement and maintain security guardrails consistent with GMR policies and guidance to maintain contractual compliance.
- Work with cloud security team and resource owners to identify and remediate issues reported by Crowdstrike, Tenable and Defender for Cloud.
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation related to cloud services and solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Microsoft Azure and M365 environments.
- Familiarity with Azure and M365 reporting and administration.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices related to health care industry or government contract cloud implementations.
- Familiarity with landing zone a plus.
- Multi-cloud experience a plus.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-500) preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, teamwork and customer support skills required.
- Ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail
- Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling
- Enthusiastic learner with drive to expand knowledge and experience.
