Systems Administrator

About This Role

This Systems Administrator role involves diagnosing and resolving system issues, modernizing infrastructure, and providing technical support. The position suits a candidate with a strong background in system administration and a commitment to maintaining high-performing networked computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues
• Modernize key infrastructure components
• Monitor system performance and report on risks/issues
• Research and recommend new approaches to improve the networked computer system
• Provide technical support as needed
• Document processes and procedures for customers to follow
• Ensure compliance with Risk Management Framework standards
• Be available outside of standard working hours to resolve emergency issues
• Travel up to 25%

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field
• 5+ years of System Administration or Engineering experience, including server-side technology and networked computing systems
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Microsoft MCSE, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, and/or CompTIA Network+
• Must have prior experience with SQL and database operations

Nice to have:

• AWS certification
• Experience with AWS cloud migration
• Skills collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
• Experience with business process engineering

Important Details

• Travel: up to 25%

Security Clearance

• Citizenship required and a current or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
