Systems Administrator

About This Role

This Systems Administrator role involves providing comprehensive IT support, from help desk problem resolution to configuring and managing operating systems. The position is suited for a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused professional dedicated to making a meaningful impact within the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components
• Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Requirements

• 5 years' related experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Active TSSCI with Polygraph
