Systems Administrator

About This Role

This Systems Administrator I role provides daily administrative, break-fix, and technical support for physical and virtualized servers, focusing on defending systems against unauthorized access and ensuring the integrity of endpoint devices. The administrator collaborates with senior systems administrators on new technology deployments and assists in resolving complex multi-tiered application and infrastructure support issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative, break-fix, and technical support for security-related infrastructure, servers, systems, and applications in collaboration with Senior Systems Administrators
• Configure, patch, and maintain physical and virtual machines to ensure they are protected against unauthorized access
• Work closely with clients, vendors, and other technical staff to identify and resolve complex issues or problems that may put Element Care systems at security risks
• Provide system administrative support for all backend systems and help bridge the gap between the backend team and the Help Desk
• Document and provide training as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience within IT systems backend
• Previous experience in a distributed processing environment
• Significant knowledge and technical understanding of OS and network technologies
• Excellent consultative and communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical ability and judgment
• Ability to work effectively with clients and other technical staff
