About the role
- Integrate telecom systems such as LTE/5G, microwave radios, SATCOM, tactical communication systems, and Network Management Systems (NMS).
- Design secure IP-based communication networks, including Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, routing, VLANs, QoS, and redundancy.
- Evaluate and integrate COTS equipment, ensuring interoperability across multiple vendors.
- Define IP addressing schemes, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), multicast, and network security policies.
- Perform system integration with servers, virtualization platforms, storage, firewalls, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Support environmental, EMC/EMI, and military qualification activities (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
- Conduct performance, interoperability, failover, and network resilience testing.
- Interface with customers, vendors, certification agencies, and user organizations during project execution.
